Carol Boileau has been a licensed attorney practicing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for over 50 years. Carol attended Tufts University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and then received her Juris Doctor Degree from Boston University School of Law. Carol was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in the Year 1971.

In the Year 1973, Carol became Regional Counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Public Welfare where she represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in various Court actions and where she was responsible for supervising a Legal Department responsible for Public Assistance and Child Welfare issues. As Regional Counsel, Carol was responsible for overseeing all of Middlesex and Essex Counties as well as a portion of Suffolk County.

In 1980, when the Department of Social Services came into existence, Carol was named Regional Counsel for the Department of Social Services. In her role for DSS, Carol's entire focus was in the protection of the children of the Commonwealth. Carol was responsible for overseeing both Middlesex and Essex County. Carol's role was to oversee and supervise a large staff of DSS attorneys and administrative staff, dealing primarily with child custody matters. In 1994, Ms. Boileau left her role within State Government to pursue a private practice specializing in Family Law. . Since establishing her own firm, Carol has devoted 100% of her time to family law matters, both in the Probate and Family Court, as well as the Appeals Court, when necessary.

Carol brings to the Firm a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of Family Law matters, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution, in the areas of child custody disputes, divorce actions, paternity actions, guardianships, adoptions and drafting and contesting prenuptial agreements.
